Tonja Carr is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Certified Anger Resolution Therapist (CART), and Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC) with more than 11 years of experience in the substance use and mental health field.
Throughout her career, Tonja has specialized in comprehensive substance use assessments, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-based counseling services for adolescents, teens, and adults. She is committed to helping individuals overcome substance use disorders, mental health challenges, anger management concerns, and the lasting effects of trauma. Her compassionate, client-centered approach empowers individuals to build healthier lives while strengthening relationships with their families and communities.
As the founder and lead counselor of TLC Counseling, Tonja has embraced and redefined the meaning of "Family First." She believes that lasting recovery is achieved by treating the whole person and involving family members whenever appropriate. Through Supportive Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs, she provides a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where clients can develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to achieve long-term recovery and personal growth.
